What lab reports do your gemstones come with?

Accepted Answer

Every gemstone comes with a report from an ISO-accredited gemological laboratory at no extra charge. You do not have to ask for it or pay for it.

An IGI-GTL, GII or GIA report is only needed if you specifically want that laboratory’s report. It can be arranged on request, and the charge depends on the laboratory, whether you want the origin stated, and the weight of the stone:

Every gemstone already includes a report from an ISO-accredited gemological laboratory at no charge. An IGI-GTL, GII or GIA report is only needed if you specifically want that laboratory’s report.
Certification charges are payable in advance and are non-refundable once the stone has been submitted to the laboratory — the laboratory bills for the examination whatever it concludes.
Certification adds roughly 7–10 days to delivery. That period is set by the laboratory and is outside our control.
Origin determination is not always possible. Where a laboratory cannot establish origin it issues the report without it, and the charge still applies.
Reports are arranged for loose gemstones. The exact amount for your stone is confirmed in writing before your order is placed.

How can I verify authenticity?

Use the included report to cross-check product details such as gemstone identity, weight, shape, and treatment disclosure if any. We also back eligible products with our Authenticity Guarantee.

Do you offer gemstones for different budgets?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We stock premium natural gemstones as well as more affordable heated or treated stones, such as Bangkok Pukhraj and Bangkok Neelam. Treatment details are disclosed clearly if any treatment is present.

Yes, COD is available for eligible orders within India, subject to the following conditions:

Product eligibility: Products marked prepaid-only—including custom gemstone bracelets—cannot be ordered with COD. A mixed cart containing one is also prepaid-only.
India Only: COD is not available for international orders. International customers must use prepaid methods (cards, UPI, net banking, or bank transfer).
Order Value Cap: COD is available for eligible orders below ₹50,000 (no minimum). Orders of ₹50,000 or above require prepaid payment.
Pincode Serviceability: COD depends on courier serviceability at your delivery pincode. If COD is not available for your pincode, you will be notified at checkout.
Handling Fee: A ₹100 COD handling fee is added to eligible COD orders to cover additional processing costs.

If COD is not available for your order, please use cards, UPI, net banking, or bank transfer.

Yes. You can design a custom gemstone bracelet with approximately 8mm beads, choosing 21–27 beads and their exact sequence. Custom bracelets are made to order and require prepaid online payment. We do not currently offer gemstone ring setting or other jewelry-setting services.

Yes. We provide free tracked delivery across all postal pincodes in India on all prepaid orders using our multi-carrier logistics network (including Delhivery, Amazon Shipping, and India Post Speed Post for remote areas).

For Cash on Delivery (COD), serviceability depends on whether our courier partners support cash collection at your specific destination pincode, which is instantly checked when you enter your address at checkout.

Delivery usually takes about 7–15 business days depending on the destination and customs clearance. All international orders require prepaid payment. COD is not available for international shipments.

For orders shipped outside India, your country’s customs authority may charge import duty and/or VAT/GST before or at delivery. These charges are levied by the destination country, not by Ratna Gems™.

International orders are shipped on a DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) basis unless clearly stated otherwise. If applicable, local import duties or taxes may be collected by the courier or customs authority before or at delivery. These charges are not included in your checkout total.

How should I estimate customs duty and taxes for gemstones?

Customs duty and destination-country taxes vary by country, product classification, order value, and the rules active on the date of import. For gemstones, customers usually need to check rates under HS Code 7103; for pearls, check HS Code 7101.

Please use your country’s official customs or tax website for the latest rate before placing an international order. We can share shipment details, but the final duty or tax decision is made by the destination-country authority.

Search for HS Code 7103 (precious/semi-precious stones) or 7101 (pearls) to find the applicable rates for gemstones.

Is there a minimum order amount for international shipping?

Accepted Answer

For every international destination except the United Kingdom — the United States, Canada, UAE, Sri Lanka, Japan, Australia and the GCC countries — there is no minimum order amount. However:

United Kingdom (UK): A minimum order value of ₹15,000 (approximately £135) is required for UK deliveries. This ensures cost-effective shipping and smooth customs processing for high-value gemstone shipments.

All international orders require prepaid payment — COD is not available for international shipments.

Are your prices inclusive of customs duty and destination-country taxes?

Accepted Answer

Our product prices include Indian GST only. For international orders, prices are export zero-rated (0% GST), meaning you are not charged Indian tax.

However, your country may charge import duty and/or VAT/GST when the package is processed for import. These destination-country charges are not included in our prices or checkout total.

Some destinations may have lower duty rates because of trade agreements or local tariff rules, but the final amount is decided by the destination-country authority at the time of import.

What is your 7-Day Return Policy?

You can request a return or exchange within 7 days of delivery for eligible items. For approved returns, we refund the eligible product amount after inspection.

Item condition: Unused, unchanged, and in original undamaged condition.
Must include: All original tags, lab reports or certificates, and packaging.
Not eligible: Custom-made or personalized items.
For damaged/incorrect claims: An unboxing video is required for quick verification.
COD orders: The ₹100 COD handling fee is non-refundable.

Who pays for return shipping?

In most cases, the customer pays the return shipping cost. If the return is due to our error (for example: wrong item or confirmed issue based on verification), Ratna Gems™ will bear the return shipping cost as per our policy.

The Authenticity Guarantee is designed for customer protection and covers whether your gemstone, Rudraksha or gemstone bracelet matches the authenticity details described on our product page and report.

What it covers: If you get your product re-verified at a reputed gem testing laboratory and the report confirms that it does not match our product description, you may be eligible for:

Refund of the eligible purchase amount
Reimbursement of Lab Testing Expenses (if invoice/receipt is enclosed with the returned product)

What it does NOT cover:

Physical damage caused by customer use, wear, or mishandling
Products that have been altered, treated, or modified by the customer
Normal wear and tear from regular use

This guarantee is strictly for authenticity verification, not for damage caused by usage.

How do I claim the Authenticity Guarantee?

To claim the Authenticity Guarantee, follow these steps:

Get your gemstone or Rudraksha tested at a reputed gemstone testing laboratory.
Obtain a lab report stating the product does not match the description provided on our product page.
Contact our support team with the lab report.
Return the product along with:
- Original box and packaging
- Our original certificate
- Original invoice/bill
- Lab testing receipt/invoice (for expense reimbursement)
After verification, eligible claims receive a refund plus lab testing expense reimbursement as applicable.
