Tanzanite Stones

Natural Tanzanite Stones are mined exclusively in a single location near Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Known for their unique violet-blue shades, these gemstones are available from ₹300 per carat. Most tanzanite is heated to reveal its blue color; this heat treatment is the industry standard, stable and permanent. Tanzanite is a December birthstone and is traditionally worn as a substitute for Blue Sapphire (Neelam) for Saturn (Shani). With a Mohs hardness of 6 to 7 and distinct cleavage, tanzanite should be handled with care—avoid sudden temperature changes, steam and ultrasonic cleaning.
