Turquoise stone (Firoza)

Natural Turquoise (Firoza), the December birthstone, is available from ₹320 per carat, featuring both American and Irani (Persian) origins. Turquoise ranges from clean sky-blue to green-blue, often showing brown or black host-rock veins called matrix; a delicate, web-like pattern known as spiderweb matrix is highly prized. As a porous gemstone at Mohs 5 to 6, it requires gentle care: avoid exposure to heat, hot water, and acids, and keep it away from soaps, cosmetics and perfumes which can alter its color.
